The Next Generation.
For over 30 years, Million Dollar Baby Classic has brought style and quality to the modern nursery — and now, we continue the journey with our new name: Namesake.
Staying true to the values created by Million Dollar Baby Classic, Namesake is committed to offering heirloom quality pieces that celebrate intentional design details, like the elegant molding in our Darlington Collection, and the traditional casting on our award-winning cribs.
Made with heritage in mind, our timeless styles are crafted for safety and sustainability and loved by parents like you — proof that some traditions are always worth keeping.
The following key safety facts about our products show just how passionate we are about safety:
Materials
Our cribs, dressers and changers are made of New Zealand pine wood from sustainable forests. This is one of the most sustainable and renewable wood resources, and its forests are expanding, increasing total wood production annually. Some of the panels of our products also use CARB II compliant MDF and 100% wood veneers.
Stains & Paints
Our products are finished in a non-toxic multi-step staining and painting process. The paint used for all of our products are formaldehyde and lead safe; the formaldehyde level for all of our furniture is undetectable. Paint is considered safe when it has toxic materials under 300 parts per million (ppm). In order for a company to claim low toxicity, it must have no more than 90 ppm. Million Dollar Baby Classic products come in at less than 2 ppm. We perform annual paint tests in order to maintain consistent quality, exceeding U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission regulations. In addition, Million Dollar Baby Classic products have low VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
